How do I stop watching porn on a daily basis?

First, ask yourself why you’re viewing Porn; it’s crucial to understand why you’re watching Porn.
Bringing someone strong into your recovery is also important—there are websites that can help you stay accountable, but you need to open up to a person you trust who isn’t afraid to tell you the truth and call you out on it.

So, congrats on taking the first step and seeking assistance- who knows, your spouse can be a fantastic resource to help you get away- but not always- because they might take it personally and like seeing it just as much as you do, and you both wind yourself trapped in an addiction loop.

Well coming from a porn addict myself these are what basically drive my day moving forward:

  1. Find something to easily distract you. It could be a hobby or something you just dive right into, get a second job or find things that you can get into. The busier you are the less time you have to watch porn
  2. Delete the internet from your phone. I know what your thinking, who would do that?! Well hey if there’s no internet to access how can you relapse on Porn in the first place?hmmm didn’t think about that did ya?
  3. Have a friend you can call anytime your going through an urge. If they can be there when it happens there’s a less chance you’ll go through with your thoughts. It’s like being talked out of suicide…..with your penis
  4. If nothing else works, just sleep. I have found that I suffer way less recovering when I’m alseep most of the time the first week of no Porn. The more you sleep the less you’ll feel through withdrawals and libido spiked up and down.
  5. talk to a therapist about your porn addiction
